Vulgar Display of Power is the sixth studio album by the American heavy metal band Pantera, released on February 25, 1992. It is the band's highest-selling and one of the most influential metal albums of the 1990s. The album was recorded at Pantego Sound Studio in Texas and produced by Terry Date and Vinnie Paul. It is often described as a defining album of the groove metal genre, featuring heavy riffs and aggressive rhythms. The title was inspired by a line in the film The Exorcist.
